What Makes Four Strings Different?
|
|
Teachers
with Little Experience: Many music studios hire teachers who don’t even play the instrument
they’re teaching. |
Experienced Instructors: Our teachers have earned music degrees
and have experience playing their instrument for 10 years or more. They
currently perform in a professional setting throughout the metro Atlanta
area. |
One Teaching
Method: Many music studios teach in the Suzuki method or a traditional method.
It’s not always true that every student learns well with just one
method. |
Multiple Methods: At Four Strings Music Studio, we
believe everyone learns in a different way at a different pace. Our teachers
have studied multiple education methods, including, Suzuki, Dalcroze,
Galamian, & Kodaly. Our teachers use a mix of teaching styles to better
suit the individual student. |
Multiple
Instruments: Many music studios offer multiple instrument families (strings, brass,
woodwinds) to make a bigger profit. |
Dedicated to String Teaching: Four Strings Music Studio is
dedicated to the string instruments Violin, Viola, and Cello – all
with four strings! This creates a more focused environment and community for
string players. |
No Ensemble
Experience: Many music studios only provide students with their private lessons.
Vital ensemble skills are then never taught. |
Group Lessons & Chamber
Music: At Four Strings
Music Studio, we stress the importance of ensemble playing. Students are
given the opportunity every month to participate in group classes and small
chamber ensembles with other Four Strings students. Group classes focus on
ensemble skills, aural skills, and music theory. |
